Offered here is the championship ring presented to Curtis Ford, who was outfielder on the 1985 Louisville Redbirds American Association championship team. Managed by former Major League player and manager Jim Fregosi, The Redbirds were the AAA affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals and finished the regular season with a 74-68 record – tops in the Eastern Division. They would move to the playoffs to become league champs, beating the Oklahoma 89ers in five games. Todd Worrell won eight games and saved 11 more, while Pat Perry posted 14 saves with a 2.37 ERA. Curt Ford hit .255 with 56 walks and also swiped 45 bags.

This 10K gold ring features a large diamond shaped CZ on a black stone. Surrounding the outside is “AMERICAN ASSOCIATION CHAMPIONS” in gold and on the inside “LOUISVILLE 1985”. One shank has a raised fleur de lis with the phrase “DECIES CENTENA MILIA” which is Latin for millions. The other shank has “FORD” in raised lettering and the Redbirds logo. This ring weighs approximately 25.4 grams and is approximately a size 11 ¾. Etched on the inside of the ring is “Jenkins 10k”. This ring comes with a LOA from Curtis Ford, who states in the LOA that this was the original ring presented to him.
