Phillies Hall of Fame third baseman Mike Schmidt was a dominant force during his 18-year Major League career, which included a World Series title and MVP in 1980. An eight-time home run champion, only Babe Ruth connected on more single-season home runs than Schmidt in baseball history. “Schmitty” used this Rawlings 154A model bat during the 1985 campaign when he hit .277 with 33 home runs. The bat shows good use and has a small crack on the handle. There are several ball marks with black ink transfers visible on the barrel. A moderate coat of pine tar is on the upper handle and Schmidt has boldly signed the barrel in black marker. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B13711) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9. There is also a LOA from PSA/DNA for signature.
