Willie Randolph was a standout player for the New York Yankees. A member of the 1977 and 1978 World Series-winning teams, Randolph was a steady presence at second base and at the plate. Randolph finished his career with 2,210 hits. Throughout his distinguished career, Randolph received many awards and in 1985, Randolph was presented with the NYPPA Good Guy Award for the 1985 season. This award is on a 9 x 12-inch wood backing with a raised image and a gold plate that reads “NEW YORK PRESS PHOTOGRAPHERS ASSOCIATION PRESENTS THE “GOOD GUY AWARD” TO WILLIE RANDOLPH 1985”. This award comes from the collection of Willie Randolph and a signed LOA from Randolph will also accompany this item.
