The Chicago Bears entered the 1985 NFL season looking to improve their 10–6 record from 1984 and advance further than the NFC Championship Game, where they lost to the 15–1 San Francisco 49ers. Not only did the Bears improve on that record, but they also put together one of the greatest seasons in NFL history. The 1985 Bears won 15 games, as the 49ers had the year before, and won their first 12 before losing to the Miami Dolphins to deny a perfect season. The Bears' defense was ranked first in the league and only allowed 198 total points (an average of 12.4 points per game) and went on to win Super Bowl XX. The presented Official Super Bowl XX Pete Rozelle Wilson football contains 14 signatures from the Super Bowl XX champion Chicago Bears with key signatures from Hall of Famer Walter Payton, Richard Dent, and Mike Singletary. Other signatures include William “Refrigerator” Perry, Dan Hampton, Ron Rivera, Thomas Sanders, Otis Wilson and others. The signatures were all signed with a silver metallic paint pen. The football is in excellent condition and comes with an LOA from JSA for the signatures.
