The battle rages on as to whether or not Pete Rose belongs in the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame, but what is not up for debate is the impact the famed slugger had on the game. Rose, a former NL MVP, still holds MLB records for hits (4,256) and games played (3,562) to go along with his three batting titles. This rare boxed set of 120 cards, most of which feature baseball-related subject matter, all boast Rose’s signature in bold, blue sharpie. The set of cards, all in mint or near-mint condition, was printed in 1985, distributed by Renata Galasso, Inc. and designed by Topps. The cards are housed in their original red box, which shows some wear, and reads “The Official Pete Rose Baseball Card Set.” The cards feature some unique characteristics, such as Nos. 4-90, which all have interview questions and answers on the reverse side. The signed set of cards is PSA pre-certified.
