The Red Sox superstar used this bat during the last stages of his Hall of Fame career. In a 16-year career, all spent in bean town, Rice was an 8-time All-Star and helped slug the way to the 1986 World Series. Dating to the 1986 to 1988 seasons, the Louisville Slugger R206 model bat shows great game use. There are many ball marks with leather scuffs and ink transfers found on the barrel along with cleat imprints and bat rack paint streaks. The handle has a heavy coat of pine tar and the knob has the bat’s length “34 ½” and Rice’s number “14” handwritten in black marker. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18039) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9.5 and a LOA from the Baylor Family for provenance.
