Offered is a 1986-96 Lou Holtz game worn Notre Dame Football sweater. The legendary college football coach wore this sweater on the sidelines during his tenure as the head football coach for the Fighting Irish. This size M navy pullover sweater was manufactured by DeYoung of Indianapolis, Indiana and has “NOTRE DAME” emblazoned across the front in gold with white bordered screen-print. The rounded collar, sleeve ends and waist have an expandable material with gold and white stripes. Interlocking “ND” has been embroidered on both shoulders with gold stitching. Holtz coached the Fighting Irish from 1986 to 1996, Holtz's 1988 Notre Dame team went 12–0 with a victory in the Fiesta Bowl and was the consensus national champion. This comes with a LOA from Lou Holtz and 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this item will be donated to the Holtz Charitable Foundation, Inc.
