Cincinnati Bengals authoritative left tackle Anthony Munoz wore this helmet during the 1986 NFL season. Munoz, a product of the vaunted University of Southern California football program, played 13 seasons in the NFL, all with the Bengals. Munoz made 11 Pro Bowls and nine All-Pro teams, and in 1986 he set a career-best mark with two touchdown receptions. Munoz retired after the 1992 season and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1998. This offered Bengals helmet boasts Cincinnati’s iconic orange and black tiger stripe design, with a black facemask and white Riddell chinstrap. The forehead bumper is printed with “Bengals”. Munoz’s number “78” is applied to the back of this size 7 5/8 helmet. Munoz has signed the left side of this helmet in silver marker, inscribing “HOF 98” in addition to his signature. This helmet comes with a LOA signed by Dolphins lineman Roy Foster, who states that he traded helmets with Munoz at the 1986 Pro Bowl. There is also a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication for the signature (A19459).
