In 1985 Bert Blyleven returned to where it all started for him, Minneapolis. His return to the Twin Cities heralded the beginning of the most successful era in Twins history. The Hall of Fame ace wore this jersey during his 17 win season in 1986, setting the table for the team's World Championship the following year. The classic Twins sky blue knit pull over jersey has the team name in red and navy tackle twill script across the front and Blyleven's number "28" below in the same colors. The collar and sleeves are trimmed in red, white and navy. The left sleeve sports the Minneapolis/St. Paul logo patch and the right sleeve has the 1961-1985 25th Anniversary patch which was worn during both the '85 and '86 seasons. The Wilson size 44 label is sewn inside the collar along with "86 1" chain stitched on a white strip tag. The back has "BLYLEVEN" in red tackle twill on a powder blue name plate. His number "28" is sewn below in navy and red tackle twill. The number "2" has been signed by Blyleven who added "Fred, All the best" and his number "28". The jersey was signed to Fred Budde, an advanced Twins collector. The jersey exhibits moderate game use with no tears or repairs. COA from PSA/DNA and LOA from MEARS who have graded this jersey A8.
