It's hard to imagine the astronomical value of Gary Carter's bona-fide player ring from the 1986 World Series. The perennial fan favorite shined as bright as ever with a walk-off single in the NLCS, followed by nine RBI and two home runs (both in Game 4 over the Green Monster) in the World Series. He remains among the game's most beloved figures, always remembered with a smile on his face, always admired as a fierce competitor. Baseball lost one of its greatest ambassadors when Carter succumbed to brain cancer in 2012. This fine tribute to “The Kid” is a prototype ring that's slightly different in design than that which he himself received. There are 45 points' worth of diamonds forming the "NY" logo and surrounding border. Manufactured by Balfour, the 10K-gold, size 12 ring displays EX/MT condition. Accompanied by a Balfour box and 2006 purchase LOA.
