With seven no-hitters spread across a career that spanned four decades, Nolan Ryan has gone down as one of the greatest pitchers to ever take the field. Originally a star with the Mets and Angels, Ryan went home to Texas in 1980 and led his home-state Astros to the first two division championships in franchise history.

In 1986 the veteran righty's 12 wins helped lead Houston to a dramatic post season playoff against the Mets. Ryan pitched a gem in Game 5, giving up just 2 hits and striking out 12 through nine nail-biting innings. Ryan left the game without registering a win as the Astros lost in 12 innings, but his valiant effort will be remembered as one of his finest games.

This offered Houston Astros jersey has the trademark yellow, orange, red and navy stripes vertically down the sleeves and a navy stripe down the sides with the team’s stylized name across the front in navy and white tackle twill. The size 44 Goodman & Sons label is sewn in the lower left front tail and an Astros Silver Anniversary patch is sewn on the left sleeve. "RYAN" in navy tackle twill is sewn on a white name patch across the back shoulders above his feared number "32" in the same colors. This classic V-neck jersey shows moderate game wear and the white body has taken on a warm color with time. There are a few loose threads throughout and this colorful piece of 80's nostalgia remains a beautiful display piece. This jersey comes with a LOA from MEARS (313918) who gave this Hall of Fame worthy jersey their highest mark of perfect A10. Also accompanying this jersey is an additional letter from MEARS dated May 5, 2015 stating that “At the time of this writing, this shirt is tied with the 1986 Rainbow MEARS A10 as the most significant shirt Nolan Ryan wore with the Houston Astros.”
