Chicago Cubs All-Star Rafael Palmeiro wore this tan Mizuno World Win first baseman’s glove circa 1987-88. Palmeiro made his MLB debut in 1986, although 1987 served as his true rookie season. The future 500 home run club member was named to his first career All-Star team in 1988, hitting .307 with eight homers, 53 RBI, 41 doubles, and more walks than strikeouts. A three-time Gold Glove winner, Palmeiro finished his career with 3,020 hits, 569 homers, and a .288 batting average.
This offered Mizuno first baseman’s glove fits over Palmeiro’s right hand and features Mizuno logos stamped in the palm and on the pinky slot. Palmeiro has signed the thumb of the glove in black marker. This glove comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1G00583) for the game use and a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication Services for Palmeiro’s signature.
