Despite entering the 1987 season at the age of 35, Boston Red Sox rightfielder Dwight Evans had his most productive offensive season. In addition to leading the American League in walks with 106, Dewey clubbed a career-high 34 home runs and a had a career-high .305 batting average as deservedly earned his third all-star selection. Evans used this Louisville Slugger C271 model bat during the 1987 season. This bat displays outstanding use and has a crack on the upper and lower handle. There are numerous ball marks, stitch impressions and blue ink transfers present on the barrel and there is coating of pine tar on the upper handle/lower barrel. Evans has signed his name in silver marker on the barrel and inscribed “ – Red Sox – “ and “1987”. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B16615) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9, plus a COA from JSA (DD03947) for the signature.
