Hall of Famer George Brett wore this powder blue Kansas City Royals road jersey during the 1987 season. Brett, at the age of 34, was in his 15th season in Kansas City and finished the 1987 season with 22 home runs, 78 RBI and a solid .288 batting average. This size 44 Rawlings button-down jersey features “Royals” with a paraph and Brett’s number “5” sewn on the front in white tackle twill. The Rawlings size 44 tag with the powder blue team swatch that reads “87 1” are sewn on the inside front tail. The collar and sleeve ends are edged in royal blue/white/royal blue knit stripes. The left sleeve has the Kansas City Royals patch, while the right sleeve has a “HOWSER 10” circle memorial patch. The back of this jersey has “BRETT” and “5” sewn on in white tackle twill. Brett has signed his name in blue marker on the top rung of the “5” on the back of the jersey. This jersey displays moderate game use and comes with a LOA from Sports Investors Authentication for the game use and a LOA from JSA (Z67424) for the signature.
