Lineups in the 1987 Major League Baseball All-Star Game included the big bats of Mike Schmidt, Andre Dawson, Don Mattingly, Mark McGwire, Rickey Henderson, Cal Ripken, Wade Boggs and Darryl Strawberry. Yet, thanks to incredible pitching from the likes of Mike Scott, Bret Saberhagen, Rick Sutcliffe, Orel Hershiser and Jack Morris, both the National League and American League squads were scoreless after nine innings. In fact, there would be no scoring in the game until a two-run triple by Tim Raines in the 13th inning gave the NL a 2-0 victory. Raines, who went 3-for-3 in the game, won the Most Valuable Player Award.

Offered here is a Jostens 1987 MLB American League All-Star Game ring presented to Willie Randolph, who finished 0-for-1 for the AL. This ring features an MLB logo that can be seen on a large blue colored stone face. “MAJOR LEAGUE ALL-STAR” reads around the bezel setting in relief work. One side of the ring displays the 1987 All-Star Game logo, while the opposite side shows the American League logo. “© JOSTENS QGT” is marked inside the band of this approximate size 9 ½ ring. This item weighs approximately 22.2 grams. This ring comes directly from the collection of Willie Randolph and a signed LOA from Willie Randolph will accompany this item.
