Reggie Jackson’s career came full-circle in 1987. After five world championships and a two-decade career that saw him become baseball’s most loved and hated players, the slugger returned to the Oakland Athletics, the hometown club where he began. For his final season in the big leagues, Reggie slugged 15 of his trademark dingers for his old team and retired at the age of 41, Cooperstown-bound. Reggie’s two-tone Rawlings 288RJ model bat shows excellent use with a handle crack. Several ball marks with stitch impressions are on the barrel with blue ink transfers and white leather ball scuffs. Cleat imprints are visible and a light coat of pine tar is found on the handle. The model “288RJ”, order number “053” and year “7” are stamped into the knob end. Mr. October has signed the barrel in silver pen adding “good Luck”. This bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B05761) for the game use, with a grade of GU 8 and a LOA from PSA/DNA (AC04478) for the signature.
