New York Mets ace Rick Aguilera wore this gray Mets pullover jersey during the 1987 MLB season. Aguilera went 11-3 for the Mets in 1987, maintaining a 3.60 ERA for the 92-70 Mets. This gray jersey has “New York” and Aguilera’s number “15” sewn on the chest in blue and orange tackle twill. “AGUILERA” and a second “15” are sewn on the back of the jersey, also in blue and orange tackle twill. A Rawlings tag and an “87 2 15” swatch are sewn inside the front left tail of this year road style. A “Set 1 1987” flag is attached to the Rawlings tag. The set number is different due to the strip tag being an actual set number and the flag tag has a set number referring to time of ordering from Rawlings (before the season). This is an odd Rawlings tag used in a small number of MLB games - 1987 only. This jersey comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
