The renowned thoroughbred jockey William Hartack was presented with this Caesars Legends of Racing trophy in 1988. Hartack was a five-time Kentucky Derby winner, a three-time Preakness Stakes winner, and the winner of the 1960 Belmont Stakes. Hartack was a national celebrity during his racing career, appearing on the covers of both Sports Illustrated and Time magazine. In 1959, while still an active jockey and only 26 years old, Hartack was inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame.

This offered trophy measures approximately 12 inches tall at its highest points. The trophy is constructed of a trophy cup standing on a cylindrical pedestal. Etched on the trophy is a Caesar’s Atlantic City logo and “Caesars Legends of Racing / June 6, 1988 / Presented to / Bill Hartack”. Please note the trophy cup swivels atop the base. This item is a fantastic display piece for any horse racing fan.
