Baltimore Orioles legend Cal Ripken Jr. wore this black, white, and orange Orioles cap during the 1988 MLB season. Ripken made his sixth All-Star Game in 1988, finishing the season with a .264 average, 23 homers, 81 RBI and a career-high 102 walks. The lifelong Oriole finished his career with 431 homers and 3,184 hits, and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007. This offered Orioles cap has a white front, black sides and back, and orange bill. An Orioles logo is sewn on the front of the hat. “1988” is written on the underside of the brim in blue pen, while an “8” is handwritten on the underside of the brim in black marker. The cap shows heavy use, including dirt staining on the cap’s exterior. This comes directly from the personal collection of Cal Ripken, Jr. with a signed LOA from Cal accompanying this game used hat.
