David Cone was a consistent winner who went on to win five World Series titles while being crowned the American League Cy Young with Kansas City in 1994. This signed and inscribed white Rawlings size 42 pinstripe pullover New York Mets home jersey was worn by Cone during the 1988 season that saw him post a 20-3 record and 2.22 ERA while logging eight complete games.
This jersey features “Mets” sewn on across the chest in blue and orange tackle twill. Cone’s number “44” is sewn on the center left chest in the same color pattern. The back of the jersey has “CONE” and “44” sewn on in blue and orange tackle twill. The Rawlings tag is sewn on the inside front left tail and has a “SET 1 1988” flag attached. The sleeves and sides of the jersey are lined in an orange/blue/orange ribbed material stripe and the v-neck collar is blue. The jersey shows light to moderate game use and Cone signed his name on the front of the jersey in black marker and inscribed “GAME USED 1988”. This jersey comes with a LOA from JSA (Z64063) for the signature and a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
