Legendary manager Tommy Lasorda guided his 1988 Los Angeles Dodgers to a 94-67 record during the regular season, winning the NL West. Kirk Gibson batted .290 with 25 home runs, 106 runs scored and 31 stolen bases. On the mound, Orel Hershiser was phenomenal, posting a 23-8 record with a 2.26 ERA. The Dodgers defeated the New York Mets, four games to three, in the NLCS to reach the Fall Classic. Los Angeles would then go on to beat the heavily favored Oakland A’s in five games in a World Series famously known for Gibson’s Game 1 walk-off home run off of ace closer and Hall of Famer Dennis Eckersley.

Offered here is a Balfour 10K gold 1988 Los Angeles Dodgers world championship ring, featuring a center diamond set on a large blue colored stone, with additional diamonds around the bezel setting. “WORLD CHAMPION DODGERS 1988” reads in relief work along the outer perimeter. One side of the ring displays the name “PAGAN” above an “LA” team logo. The opposite side boasts an image of the Commissioner’s Trophy – which reads “LOS ANGELES DODGERS 1988 WORLD CHAMPIONS – as “Dodgers” appears above. “BALFOUR 10K” is marked on the inside of this approximate size 10 ¾ band. This ring weighs approximately 35.1 grams and includes a presentation box measuring 4x4x2 inches.
