Presented is a 1988 Lou Holtz team-issued Cotton Bowl polo shirt. The Navy blue 100-percent cotton Fiesta short-sleeved polo shirt the Cotton Bowl logo embroidered in gold on the left chest with the captions "Cotton Bowl '88" above and "Notre Dame" below the logo. At the right sleeve cuff, is embroidered the legend "Irish", also in gold. Thee 1988 Cotton Bowl Classic was played on January 1, 1988, at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas, and featured the Holtz's #12-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish against the #8-ranked Texas A&M Aggies. Played in front of 73,006 people, Texas A&M won the game, 35-10. This item comes with a LOA from Lou Holtz and 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this item will benefit the Holtz Charitable Foundation, Inc.
