From his debut in 1969, “Mr. Clean” exemplified all that was good with the game. The first baseman was arguably the most popular player in the game and he reciprocated by leaving a trail of records and awards in his wake. Manufactured in 1988, this bat was likely used post-career by the Dodgers and Padres great when he worked in the Community Affairs department for the Dodgers. The Louisville Slugger C263 model bat shows outstanding use with a handle crack. Garvey’s number “6” is hand written on the knob and barrel ends and he has signed the barrel in strong black marker. The bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B16643) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9, plus a COA from JSA for the signature.
