Wade Boggs wore this Boston Red Sox cap during the 1988 season, his seventh season in the MLB. Boggs, a third baseman, played for the Red Sox, New York Yankees, and Tampa Bay Devil Rays during his 18-year career. Purely a contact hitter, Boggs finished his career with a .328 batting average and 3,010 hits. A 12-time All-Star, Boggs was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame as a member of the Boston Red Sox.

This navy cap features the Boston “B” embroidered on the front in red and white stitching. The inner sweatband has “DIAMOND COLLECTION” and “New Era” tags with a separate “7 ¼ “ flag. Boggs’ number “26” is handwritten in black on the green underside brim. This hat displays excellent game use with perspiration stains on the inner sweat band and dirt marks on the inner brim edges. Boggs has signed his name in black marker on the underside brim below his handwritten number. This cap comes with a LOA from JT Sports for the game use and a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A25451) for the signature.
