Willie Randolph was a standout player for the New York Yankees. A member of the 1977 and 1978 World Series-winning teams, Randolph was a steady presence at second base and at the plate. Randolph finished his career with 2,210 hits. After 13 seasons with the Yankees, Randolph signed as a free agent with the Los Angeles Dodgers prior to the 1989 season.
Randolph used these two all-black Wilson 1786 and 1787 model gloves during his season-plus with the Los Angeles Ddogers. The 1786 model glove has “Wilson” in a black patch with yellow print on the wrist strap and two horizontal straps and a single vertical strap webbing. Randolph’s number “12” is in light silver marker on the soft material on the outer thumb. This glove displays moderate game use and Randolph has signed his name in silver marker on the inner pinky and inscribed “Game Used Dodgers”. The 1787 model has the Wilson MLB logo patch on the wrist strap with Randolph’s number “12” handwritten in black marker. This glove displays moderate game use and Randolph has signed his name in silver marker on the outer thumb and inscribed “Game Used” and “Dodgers”. These gloves derive directly from the Willie Randolph Collection and a signed LOA from Willie Randolph will accompany these items.
