If anyone was an All-Star in 1989 it was Barry Larkin. The Reds shortstop's .343 won him the Silver Slugger Award and mid season was voted to his third All-Star team. Larkin's grey sand knit road jersey was made specially for and worn during the '89 Game in Anaheim. It features "CINCINNATI" across the front in red, white and black tackle twill below which is Larkin's number "11" in red, white and black tackle twill. The neck and sleeve ends are trimmed in red and white ribbing. Rawlings size "44" label is sewn inside the left tail along with "SET1 1989" tagging. "ALL STAR GAME" embroidered in red on a grey strip tag is sewn below. The right sleeve has the special 1989 All-Star Game patch. The back has "LARKIN" and his number "11" in white and red tackle twill. Larkin has signed the front left chest in black Sharpie adding "GAME USED". The jersey shows light game use with some small pine tar staining and several loose threads on the lettering. Letter of Authenticity from Barry Larkin. All Barry Larkin LOAs contain a facsimile signature from Larkin and are accompanied by a Goldin Auctions LOA confirming the product came directly from Barry Larkin.
