Kirby Puckett, the 10-time All-Star, used this bat during the 1989 season in which he won the American League batting title with a .339 average as well as leading the AL with 215 hits. Puckett’s Louisville Slugger S226 model bat displays outstanding use with a crack on the handle. There are ball marks, stitch impressions, blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs present on the barrel. There is a moderate coating of pine tar on the upper handle and Puckett’s number “34” is handwritten in red marker on the knob and in white on the top barrel. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B16179) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9.
