The Hall of Famer Michael Jordan wore this stunning pair of Air Jordan IV sneakers during the 1989-90 NBA season. Released at the 1989 NBA All-Star Break, Jordan wore a pair of IV’s when he hit “The Shot” against Cleveland in the 1989 Eastern Conference Playoffs First Round. Jordan averaged an incredible 33.6 points and 2.8 steals per game in 1989-90, leading the NBA in both categories. The former UNC star added 6.9 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game as the Bulls bowed out of the playoffs after a seven-game defeat at the hands of the Detroit Pistons in the Eastern Conference Finals. Jordan retired after spending the 2002-03 season with the Washington Wizards before his 2009 induction to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
These offered Air Jordan IV sneakers are white, with black and red accents. The size 13 shoes feature a plastic-covered mesh section on the upper portion with black laces and a red “Nike Air” wordmark applied to each heel. As is common with Nike shoes of this era, some minor deterioration is present in the midsoles. Jordan has signed both of these shoes in black marker. The shoes come with a LOA from MEARS for the game use and individual LOAs from Beckett Authentication Services (A31375, A31376) for the signatures.
