Hall of Fame center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was presented with this plaque by the Republic of China in honor of his farewell game in 1989. The flags of the Republic of China and the United States are located on the top of this plaque, which features numerous lines of writing in Chinese. The English text on this plaque reads “To Mr. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Member Of NBA, USA, / The Brightest Star In The Universe Of Professional Basketball” and “In Commemoration Of His Farewell Game In The Republic Of China”. At the bottom, “From: Albert C.H. Yu / Publisher, China Times & / Chairman, Organizing Committee, / The Abdul-Jabbar Farewell Game” is etched. This plaque measures 14.5 x 16.5 inches and comes in a 16.25 x 18.5-inch red case. This item derives directly from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and a personally hand-signed LOA from Kareem will accompany this item.
