Sammy Sosa began his big-league career with a bang, hitting a home run off Roger Clemens, at the time probably the best pitcher in league. Sammy added three more of his eventual 609 home runs before the season ended. Sosa’s rookie season Louisville Slugger M110 model bat shows outstanding use and is un-cracked. Numerous ball marks with stitch impressions are visible on the barrel along with blue ink transfers and white leather ball scuffs. Blue bat rack paint streaks are on the back and right barrel and the handle has been taped in a criss-cross pattern to enhance the grip. A light coat of pine tar is present and Sosa’s number “25” is hand written on the knob in black marker. A Sosa signature is present but appears to be sketched. The bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B16670) for the game use.
