The Milwaukee Brewers were the first of Gary Sheffield’s eight teams, and the one on which he learned to become one of the game’s most dangerous hitters. During the 1990 and 1991 seasons in which he used this bat, Sheff worked with Don Baylor, steadily raising both his batting average and home run power. The following year he would lead the American League in batting and make the first of nine All-Star Game appearances. This Rawlings 423B model bat is un-cracked and shows moderate use. Sheff has boldly signed the barrel in silver marker adding “Game Used Brewers”. The bat comes with a full GU 9 graded LOA from PSA/DNA (1B12628) for the game use and a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication for the signature.
