Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame third baseman and 3,000 hit club member Wade Boggs wore this white home jersey during the Sox 1991 campaign. An All-Star in ’91, Boggs hit eight home runs and 51 RBI while batting a stellar .332. This was the second to last season in Boston for Boggs, who would play eight more seasons in the Majors. A 12-time All-Star and five-time AL batting champ, Boggs was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2005.

This jersey is a white, button down home jersey that has “RED SOX” sewn across the chest in red and navy blue tackle twill. Boggs’ number “26” is sewn on the back in red and navy blue tackle twill. Red piping runs down the chest and around the collar of the jersey. A Wilson tag with attached size “44”, “Tapered”, and “CT” flags is sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. A “90” tag is sewn beneath that. The absence of any evidence of a Tony Conigliaro memorial armband on the left sleeve suggests that this was a 1990 jersey worn during the 1991 season. Boggs signed the right chest area of this jersey in black marker, adding the inscription “’91”. This item jersey comes with LOA from PSA/DNA (AC01276) for the signature, and a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
