Lenny Harris excelled in a situational role during his career in Major League baseball, finishing with the most pinch hits in Major League history. A World Series champion in 2003 with the Florida Marlins, Harris was a well travelled player, having suited up for 10 different teams in his 18 season career. Harris signed this blue Los Angeles Dodgers batting helmet. In 1990, his third season in the Majors. Harris played well, notching a .304 batting average and a career high 131 hits.
This helmet is Dodger blue, with a white “LA” logo on the front and “29” on the brim. The “LA” logo is peeling slightly. Harris signed the brim of this helmet in silver marker, adding the inscription “Game Used 1990”. This item comes with a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (B54334) for the signature. There is also a LOA from JT Sports that authenticates the game use of this helmet but was unable to conclude that it was actually worn by Harris.
