Offered is a 1990 Lou Holtz game worn Notre Dame sweater, worn often by Holtz on the sidelines and on gamedays during his legendary tenure as the head coach for the Fighting Irish. This sweater has been photo matched to images from the 1990 season by Elite Sports Photo Matching. The Navy-blue flannel sweater features the legend "Notre Dame" across the front chest in silk-screened yellow and white letters, with the Reebok logo silk-screened in yellow and white on the lower left. Cuffs at the neck, sleeves and bottom are yellow, white and Navy-blue stripes on elastic cloth. The iconic "ND" logo is silk-screened in yellow and white on both sleeves at the shoulder. Holtz coached 132 games in 11 seasons at Notre Dame and guided his teams to an overall record of 100-32-2 as he holds the Irish record for most games coached and is second to Knute Rockne in total victories. Holtz led Notre Dame to the 1988 national championship and remains 11th on the NCAA all-time win list for Division I-A coaches. Holtz took his Notre Dame teams to nine straight New Year's Day bowl games from 1987 through 1995 and coached the Irish to finishes of sixth or better in the final Associated Press poll in five seasons. This comes with a LOA from Lou Holtz and 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this item will benefit the Holtz Charitable Foundation, Inc.
