The family of Thurman Munson was presented this Mid-American Conference Hall of Fame trophy in 1990, 11 years after the tragic death of the All-Star catcher. Munson, a native of Ohio, played his college ball at Kent State and was a member of the 1968 First Team All-America squad. This trophy measures approximately nine inches tall and consists of an irregularly shaped crystal mounted on a wooden plinth. A plaque on the plinth reads “1990 Mid-American Conference Hall of Fame” and “Thurman Munson”. This trophy is accompanied by a LOA from the Munson family.
