Behind a stingy defense led by Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year Junior Seau, the USC Trojans finished the 1989 regular season with a record of 8-2-1. Running back Ricky Ervins rushed for 1,395 yards and 10 touchdowns (while adding 39 receptions) and QB Todd Marinovich passed for 2,578 yards and 16 TDs. USC met the Michigan Wolverines in the 1990 Rose Bowl, in a rematch of the 1989 game between the two teams. Played January 1, 1990, the 76th Rose Bowl saw the Trojans defeat the Wolverines 17-10.

Offered here is a Jostens manufactured 1990 USC Trojans Rose Bowl Championship players ring, featuring a round CZ set on the image of a football, with a large red stone serving as the center’s background. Around the bezel setting reads “1990 ROSE BOWL CHAMPIONS” while a smaller CZ appears on each of the left and right sides of the face. One shank of the ring is centered by a red enamel-filled “USC”, with the name “WILSON” (linebacker Alan Wilson) at the top and the number 59 at the bottom. “PAC TEN CHAMPIONS” appears above a raised image of a Trojans football helmet on the opposite shank, with a group of roses down below. Inside the band is marked “JOSTENS QGT” and also includes the engraving of the player’s name. This ring – which shows some wear/imperfections to the metal – weighs approximately 26.9 grams and is an approximate size 14 ½.
