When the clock struck 1990, Barry Bonds took his game to another level. Bonds was National League MVP in 1990 and 1992 and finished second in the voting in 1991. In the two seasons in which this Barry Bonds Louisville Slugger H238 model bat dates to, Bonds was simply the most productive player in the league, averaging 30 home runs, 110 RBI, all while maintaining a .301 average.

Bonds used this Louisville Slugger H238 model bat during the 1991 and 1992 seasons, which were his final two seasons in Pittsburgh before signing with the San Francisco Giants for 1993. Bonds’ Pirates won the National League East for three straight seasons before his departure. This bat displays heavy game use with a slight crack on the handle. There are many ball marks, stitch impressions and black ink transfers present on the barrel. There is a heavy coating of pine tar on the handle and there are blue bat rack streaks. “BONDS” is handwritten in black marker twice on the knob. A wonderful gamer from Bonds’ last hurrah with the Pittsburgh Pirates and this bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B05143) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9.
