From 1991 to 1995, Ozzie Smith won the last two of his 13 consecutive Gold Gloves and recorded his milestone 500th stolen base, ensuring himself a place in Cooperstown. Ozzie’s 1991-95 era Louisville Slugger C235 model bat is un-cracked and shows outstanding use. Some checking from repeated ball contact is found on the right and back barrel with a 7 ¼ x ¾” piece missing from the back barrel. Many ball marks and scuffs are on the barrel along with cleat imprints and bat rack paint streaks. Ozzie’s number “1” is written on the knob with the number “24.” The barrel shows tape residue which may indicate it was used in batting practice. The number “24” on the knob might indicate that the bat was later used by Bryan Eversgerd in 1994 or Tom Urbani in 1995. The Hall of Famer has signed the barrel in blue marker, completing this 1991-1995 gamer. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B11623) for the game use and a COA from JSA (WP247546) for the signature.
