As one of the most prolific hitters in the modern era, Wade Boggs fashioned a lifetime .328 BA, many of his 3,010 hits ricocheting off the sweet spot of Louisville Sluggers akin to this model. Boggs played the hot corner, designated hitter and first base for the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Devil Rays. A 12-time All-Star, the Chicken Man won five AL batting titles and two Gold Glove awards at third base. He was elected into the Hall of Fame in 2005. This offered Louisville Slugger B349 model bat is un-cracked, shows heavy use and was used by Boggs during the 1991 and 1992 seasons. Many ball marks with stitch impressions are visible on the barrel along with cleat imprints and blue ink transfers. Green bat rack paint streaks are visible, and a moderate coat of pine tar is found on the lower handle, while a heavier coat is on the center brand. Boggs’ number “26” is hand written on the knob and the Hall of Famer has signed the barrel in “Best Wishes” in blue marker. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B05819) for the game use and has been graded a perfect GU 10, along with a LOA from JSA for the signature.
