Presented here is a Worth WC129 model baseball bat that has been used and signed by Don Mattingly. A Yankee lifer, Mattingly was awarded the 1985 AL MVP Award after hitting .324 with 35 home runs, 145 RBI, and 48 doubles. Mattingly used this bat between 1991 and 1995, the last five seasons of his storied career. The bat is cracked, but displays outstanding use, including heavy pine tar staining on the handle. Joe DiMaggio’s number “5” was written in an unknown hand on the knob in black Sharpie. While Mattingly wore “23” for most of his Yankee career, he frequently inscribed the number of retired Yankees on the knob of his bats. Mattingly has signed the barrel of this bat in black Sharpie. This item comes with a PSA/DNA LOA (1B10894) for game use and a PSA/DNA LOA (AB11547) for the signature.
