Offered is a wood and metal clock presented to Lee Smith for his selection to the 1991 Major League Baseball All-Star Game in Toronto. The right-handed reliever pitched for the St. Louis Cardinals that season, and set a new National League single-season saves record with 45 that year. The 5 x 5 x 6 inch wood cube with metal and glass clock, barometer, thermometer and humidity gauge has a gold metal plaque on the top with the National League logo engraved and the legend “ Lee Smith 1991 Allstar Game Toronto” in black. Smith played 18 seasons in the Majors, and was considered one of the dominant closers in baseball history, holding the MLB record for career saves (478) from 1993 until 2006. This item is accompanied by a LOA from Smith.
