For two and a half decades Carlton Fisk was the premier catcher in the American League. First as the Red Sox backstop with who won a Rookie of the Year Award and led Boston to the brink of a World Championship in 1975 and later as the veteran White Sox catcher who caught Tom Seaver’s 300th victory and led the team to its first American League Western Division title.
This bat was used by Pudge during his 1991 season on the Southside, during which the 43-year-old not only added 18 home runs to his eventual career total of 376, but also became the oldest player to get a base hit in an All-Star Game. Fisk’s 1991 two-tone Louisville Slugger T141 model bat shows light game use with a handle crack. The barrel shows several ball marks and abrasions from contact with other equipment. The handle has been scored to enhance the grip and a light coat of pine tar remains on the handle. A very attractive bat from Fisk’s White Sox years. The bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B17110) for the game use.
