Hall of Fame power forward Charles Barkley wore this white warm up jacket during the beginning months of the 1991-92 NBA season. Barkley led the Sixers in both scoring, with 23.1 points per game, and rebounding, at an 11.1 boards per game clip, on the way to his sixth All-Star appearance. This was Barkley’s final season with the Sixers before a June 1992 trade sent him to the desert to play for the Phoenix Suns.
This jacket is a white, Champion button down and short sleeved warm up jacket. It features a Sixers logo printed on a starry ribbon on the left side of the jacket. “SIXERS” is printed on the back shoulders over a similarly patterned ribbon. Sewn on the back inside collar are Champion size “46” and 1991 NBA tags. Barkley’s number “34” is written on the NBA tag in black marker. Barkley only wore “34” for a brief time in October and November of 1991. In mid-November he decided to change his number to “32” in honor of the recently retired Hall of Famer Magic Johnson. A Basketball Centennial patch has been removed from the front right tail of this jersey, and a NBA patch is sewn on the right chest area. This jacket shows light to moderate game use and comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
