Although Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan’s career was winding down by 1991, The Ryan Express was still rolling along as he finished the season with a 12-6 record and 2.91 ERA. Ryan also led the American League in WHIP with 1.006. All of this at the age of 44!
This Rawlings Texas Rangers home white button-down jersey was worn by Ryan during 1991 season. “Rangers” and a paraph have been sewn on in blue and red tackle twill across the chest with Ryan’s iconic number “34” sewn on the left center chest. Its front right side has been signed by Ryan in black marker. The back of the jersey has “34” sewn on in blue and red tackle twill with “RYAN” sewn on in blue tackle twill above the number. The left front tail has a white Rawlings patch that have a sewn on white swatch of “34 2” embroidered in blue, a white “1 INCH EXTRA LENGTH” patch and a "SET 2 1991” flag. The right sleeve has “Rawlings” embroidered in blue. The jersey shows light use and comes with a LOA from former NFL running Jamal Lewis, who attests that this jersey was obtained through Nolan Ryan representatives and a LOA from PSA/DNA (G61256) for Ryan’s signature.
