Former outfielder Vince Coleman spent the first six seasons in the Major Leagues with the St. Louis Cardinals, where he led the National League in each of those seasons in stolen bases and was the Rookie of the Year in 1985. After the 1990 season, Coleman signed with Cardinals division rivals the New York Mets.
Offered is the button-down Rawlings New York Mets home pinstripe jersey worn by Coleman during the 1991 season, his first with the Mets. This size 44 jersey features “Mets” sewn on across the chest in blue, orange and white tackle twill. Coleman’s number “1” is sewn on in the same color pattern on the left center chest. The back of the jersey has “COLEMAN” and his number “1” sewn on in blue, orange and white tackle twill. Each sleeve has a ribbed orange/blue/orange vertical stripe from the neck to the sleeve end and each side of the jersey has the same vertical stripe pattern. The Rawlings tag along with a “91R” patch is sewn on the inside bottom front tail and the jersey shows moderate game use. Coleman signed his name in black marker vertically down the number “1” on the back of the jersey. This jersey comes with a full LOA from Vince Coleman and a full LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
