Hall of Famer. Payne Stewart placed his large and bold, black marker signature on the reverse side of this "Pro Line Portraits" collectible. The widely pursued items from this series were seeded in packs of Pro Line football cards during the early 1990s. Stewart's friendly personality, plus the NFL-style knickers and ivy cap ensembles he wore on the course, made him one of the most popular golfers on tour. The U.S. Open and PGA Championship winner was killed in a 1999 plane crash. The offered card's signature is manufacturer-certified by the presence of a distinctive "Certified - Authentic - NFL" embossment in the card's bottom-right corner.
