After a successful eight seasons in Kansas City where Brett Saberhagen won two Cy Young Awards and the 1985 World Series to start his career, he signed with the New York Mets for the 1992 season. By moving to the National League, Saberhagen had to start hitting for the first time since the 1985 World Series and he used this Louisville Slugger B390 model bat during his first two seasons with the Mets (1992-93). This bat displays light game use and is un-cracked. There are a few ball mark and black ink transfers present on the barrel and blue bat rack streaks are visible on the left barrel. Saberhagen’s number “18” has been handwritten in blue marker on the knob and top barrel. Saberhagen signed his name in black marker on the barrel. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B14987) for the game use and a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (C11924) for his signature.
