Two years removed from his 1991 MVP award-winning season, Cal Ripken Jr. used this Rawlings Pro 6-HF glove that was manufactured in 1992 as a backup during the 1993 season and comes directly from his personal collection. Ripken played in every game on the schedule for the 11th straight season, was named to his 11th consecutive All-Star game. The glove is constructed of premium grade “Heart of the Hide” tanned steer hide, bound with tanned rawhide laces and nylon stitching. The glove features a pro-style single post, double T-bar web, and a closed “Fastback” with finger “Holdster” and adjustable wrist strap. The fingers are highlighted with natural welting. A white on red Rawlings wrist label and an embroidered Rawlings logo appear at the base of the web. The year code on the glove “LBB01” indicates that the glove was manufactured in November of 1992. “Ripken” appears in black marker on the back of the pinky finger. The glove contains evidence of outstanding game wear with substantial wear see on the pocket, face of the web, and throughout the body of the glove. The tips and back of the fingers display appropriate scuffing and this item comes directly from the personal collection of Cal Ripken, Jr. with a signed LOA accompanying this glove, plus an LOA from PSA/DNA (1G00721).
