Hall of Famer Frank Thomas capped off his second full season in the majors by leading the American League with 46 doubles, 122 walks, on-base percentage (.439) and OPS (.975). For the next decade, “The Big Hurt” reigned supreme as the most feared batter in the AL. This Worth bat dates from Thomas’ early years with the White Sox, during which he hit 143 home runs and won back-to-back MVP Awards. The two-tone Worth WC115 model bat displays excellent use with a handle crack. There are several ball marks and white leather ball scuffs on the barrel along with scuffs and abrasions from contact with other equipment. The Big Hurt’s number “35” is hand-written on the knob in black marker and this bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B15835), who have graded this bat a solid GU 8.5 for the game use.
