In the year following his NL MVP award, Terry Pendleton made his first and only All Star team, batting fifth and starting the game at third base. The 1992 All Star game was held on July 12th at Jack Murphy Stadium in San Diego. Although the National League fell to the American League by a score of 13-6, the contest was a time the fans got to witness a total of Eighteen Hall of Famers take the field not including Hall of Fame manager Bobby Cox who called the action for the NL from the dugout.

This Rawlings Adirondack bat features the name T. Pendleton on the barrel below the engraved 1992 All Star, indicating its issue for the game. The blonde bat has been signed in black sharpie by many of the future Hall of Famers that joined Pendleton on the NL squad on this day including hometown favorite Tony Gwynn, Barry Bonds, Greg Maddux, Ozzie Smith, Tom Glavine, John Smoltz, Joe Torre, Ryne Sandberg, and many others. The bat originates from the collection of Terry Pendleton and is accompanied by a signed Letter of Authentication from Pendleton. The signatures have been additionally verified by Beckett Authentication and is also accompanied by LOA certification #A62768.
